Too bad for the bad luck with pit position and getting held up, it could have been a good scrap for P2 with Piastri otherwise. 2 points lost overall, would have been much more in a regular race.

Will be hard for Leclerc to keep Perez back if there's DRS tomorrow. If not, maybe Sainz could also hold Max back, for a few laps, at least...
7 seconds in 7 laps, I think a Red Bull 1-2 is inevitable.

Didn't really see too much of Ferrari on the TV. Was it a good race? How was tire wear?

The low resolution onboard cam doesn't really help us here either. I would say maybe slightly better than both Alpine and McLaren. Red Bull still look fresh asf.

Also looking less likely to rain, around 50% chance from start to end, very low chance of rain in the AM. I would say nothing conclusive as things can change drastically with the different weather. Also the FL takes a bit more of a beating than the FR , RB/ALP/MCL reference images are of the FR.

yes he was very rapid. He tends to be quicker at the start of his stint but falls off midway. The sprint being only 11 laps I think that suited him well.

He has always been good in mixed conditions.

Leclerc as well. He has been struggling with these conditions only with this specific car (he was super good in Imola 2021, Turkey 2020, Turkey 2021, etc.) . Still, if we think where he was in Austria he has made a massive jump. Outside the first flying lap after the SC he kept Sainz's pace pretty much.

Anyway RB is so much ahead of the competition that is not even funny

This picture is actually insane. Unreal advantage. They have to --- up something to not win in 2024 and 2025.

Given a sham 3-place grid penalty, stuck in traffic as a result and had his engineer fail the pitting strategy on top of that?

He still struggled quite a bit pace wise there.

Wait a minute. He/the team impeded. It was not a sham.

What was a sham was the final corner parking lot at the end of Q3 with no penalties.

Sainz stayed on Hamilton-Gasly's tail after the pit dropped him behind Hamilton, didn't really attempt anything...
Hamilton looked like he might've had more pace but was limited by Gasly.
Leclerc behind Carlos and dropping back slightly.

Sainz pace wasn't that far off Piastri and no drop offs from tyre wear that i could see.

It's Verstappen>>>>>>>>>>>>Mclaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, Alpine in a battle for second place i think, don't know where Checo stands, he was off even before he lost half a sidepod.

Hamilton had floor damage. Imo he had the pace for P2 in the Sprint.

Don’t know about to you guys, but I’m praying it’s just a cleaner race for Ferrari today… Heck, I’d take a solid double points finish, seeing as we’re unlikely to win… podium might be difficult too. 4th and 5th?
