Hopefully we get to see a good comparison tomorrow. There is a big deficit in s2 though. Which suggests they are very far away in terms of outright downforce.

I'm hoping for a fun race tomorrow. I think Ham has the pace for a podium and if the weather cooperates we'll see a show.

Do not want to see a T1 oopsie whoopsy, so I hope of it's wet they do what they did today and not try for a standing start.

Merc looked like it had some excellent traction today.

As a McLaren fan I suspect Lewis will give us a very hard time tomorrow and may keep us off the podium.

Unfortunatly I don't think Perez will cooperate heading into Le Combe if Lewis try to overtake him

If he was co-operative it would probably be the last straw and the chance of staying in the seat after the break would be slim!

An astute point. It's one thing qualifying poorly but moving forwards in the race. It's a very different thing to be going backwards.

I agree, but his car has the pace to finish 2nd easily. He can lose at the start, anyway he will not catch Max. He just needs to bring consistent 1-2 for the team.

He may fancy a Williams seat

I honestly think Lewis has a chance of being 3rd in the race. I hope the race pace is strong otherwise there are some fast cars behind. I think Perez will lead until max catches, and passes him. I see this a easy Redbull 1 and 2.

Wonder if they will try to do a one stopper (M-H) with Russell who is starting much further back.

Underselling it. Lewis was faster than Checo yesterday. Mercedes has brought many upgrades, the car is also getting quicker and quicker.

Lewis was only faster because Checo is not a natural rain driver like Lewis.

If the race is dry, I don't think Lewis has the pace for more than 3rd.

Lewis is super talented, Checo is just a good driver, but we’ll see today if it was due to the harder conditions. Lewis made it work with less wing in the wet already, in the dry that could be better.

Hamitlon needs rain and no drs.
Otherwise i feel Checo will be up to similar speeds like Max if it stays dry. Checo is more tentative than Max but given enough laps ans tyre temperature he is going to be up to the same speed by the halfway mark.
He has been fighting from the back these last couple races. If he is at the front like now and doesnt have to fight, i am afraid he will be only slightly slower than Max.
For Sure!!
