Safety just after Oscar's stop.

Of course it is.
Oscar has no luck with the safety car timings

Yup...thinking the same. If we are stupids with strategy...we have also bad luck...a race to forget

It was pure stupidity at the start but unlucky also with the weather not changing when Mclaren needed.

Is there any reason why we did not change tyres immediately?
Yes...because the strategist is a --- idiot!!!!
If they stayed out it might have worked, but pitting now is stupid.

Norris needs to be careful with this overruling. Did it yesterday too and it nearly cost him.
Terrible not to split strategies after lap 1. Bizarre
Norris overruled - looking back he was losing too much. But they should have went to softs immediately as Piastri started to gain on inter runners (he was 5+ seconds a lap faster).

Awful luck today but the car is fast when on proper tyre. Let's drive through the field now.

We are still on for a double points finish without more mistakes. Go Mclaren!

Don’t disagree. It was a very straightforward strategy split to start off with and then they had one more lap to bring the other car in. After 2+ laps and 20secs it was futile as albon showed to come in

Safety car is about luck. Not splitting strategy when you have 2 drivers in top 8 has nothing to do with luck. Oh well, let's see what happens next.

He did, I think he messed up, could have been higher up. Team messed up first and then Lando compounded it.

Piastri flatspotted his tyre when trying to overtake Magnussen so they pulled him in and then Sargeant crashes.

Tough luck.

Agreed. Lando needs to think twice about overruling the team.

Piastri was in P7/P8 with a Haas, Alfa and Alpine in front of him. And Lando should have been even better as he was further forward. But very tough call - we got worst of both worlds.

What a shame in pit strategy. It reminded me of Sochi 2021.

You know Piastri should have stayed out for one more lap since his softs were perfect in those conditions.
