If it wasnt for that mistake at the start I am confident Lando could have brought it on P2. But what done is done. Perhaps with Intermediates the conditions will favor Mclaren to do some passes in those 8 laps. It's a pity though that the FIA are cowards to do a fully wet race. What is the point of wet tyres at all? I don't like the Rolling Start though as I was hoping for a standing start for more chaos.

Yes, you have mentioned many times, and to be honest, we all know anyway.

In perfect circumstances we might have struggled to retain second as I think we'd have lost a few places due to Q pace being a bit stronger. This is why pre race I suggested 6th would not have been bad. I'm OK ish with where we are now, but I'll be pissed if we actually drop back.

I think they are great to show the spectacle, but when you want to see the details, it's awful.

Long medium speed corners still this cars Achilles heel. Hopefully next year they can sort that out

And rightly so. Beginning of the season Mclaren was slow so you’d be ecstatic with this result today but Mclaren now has a car to fight for the podium but Gasly scores it instead due to poor decision making by the team.
Mclaren could have a slow car again next season so we are right to rue the missed opportunities at present.
