Curious for Singapore, how competitive the team will be.
Well that's interesting, let's see if someone else gets the short end of the stick. Aston already did.

"the FIA has delayed the adoption of its new stance until the Singapore Grand Prix next month - which means competitors can continue with their current designs through to the end of this weekend's Monza race."

All eyes on Singapore...

I don't understand why the FIA is doing this in season? They're literally changing the interpretation of the rules in season. Whereas it used to be "whatever passed the wing tests". To "their spirit of the rules".
I said this in the TD045 thread, FIA likes to create situations where they can exercise subjective control. This way they can put their thumb on the scale and tilt it in a desirable direction for political or financial reasons, as history suggests. Newey has claimed Double diffuser was deemed legal because Ferrari and Mclaren tried to have Mosley removed as President and he hated them, which is well documented.

How Mercedes mirror stays and front wing slot gap separators were allowed to be legal when they were clearly an overbody part generating dirty air, violating the main objective of the new regs and yet AM's rolled corner rear wing was banned immediately. All of them were technically legal but the "spirit of the rules" was invoked in only one.

Doubt it will make much of a difference. The current spec AMR wing still flexes but more in line with the competition. The wing they ran at the start of the season flexed an insane amount.

A technical directive (among other things) ruined Ferrari's 2022 season. What will become of this new TD has weakened Aston, but only for two months. You could say the impact of the two might not be the same scale but I think it speaks well of the strength and reactiveness of the technical department.

Krack talking about a big upgrade for Monza; will it be a tweak to side pods(apart from RW & Floor)?
Alonso did talk about, team not being able to test all parts at Zandvoort.

In the past it was going to only be circuit specific but now apparently it could be something more permanent on the car, so no idea really. Could you share what Krack said?

do we think the rear jack will be modified in time for monza so they can run the winglet without it breaking off
New article about it.

F1 | Aston Martin: tail wing will be seen again but more robust
The Silverstone-based team, working on the kinks in the technical regulations, introduced at Zandvoort a curious flap fitted to the rear deformable structure. The clever solution increases the effect of air extraction from the rear diffuser, but the micro-flap has shown some failure during track use and pit stop testing, so a more robust version will be seen later.

The idea has not been aborted, quite the contrary. The tail wing has not been aborted, but will be produced in a more robust version. Aston Martin at Zandvoort presented a curious aerodynamic solution that was seen on Friday in free practice and then abandoned due to a failure.

The small bowtie-shaped element mounted slightly cantilevered below the rear light was part of the aerodynamic package that was introduced on the AMR23 in the Dutch GP, as the intention was to increase the efficiency of the rear diffuser by placing a small device in a novel area.

The problem is that the tail wing, as it has been nicknamed, interacts with the rear lift for the pit stop. The Silverstone team's engineers had already intervened by modifying the usual jack, which is made of carbon, with a new metal structure that did not include the 'cradle' that housed the deformable structure, acting as a stop to any rearward movement of the single-seater during the tyre change.

The tail wing, however, proved too fragile and was not seen again over the Dutch weekend. Some had thought of a rejection, while Tom McCullough, Aston Martin's development director, explained that the solution was not permanently parked:
"The one seen at Zandvoort was just an experiment to see on track whether aerodynamically it would produce the efficiency we saw in the wind tunnel. Unfortunately the deliberate solution was not strong enough for track use, so we decided to remove it as a precautionary measure, but we will revisit it and correct it."

McCullough admitted that it was a flap that was thought up a few months ago in the folds of the regulations and was not seen until Zandvoort because it was necessary to modify the car's rear lift so that it could raise the car without damaging the profile or slowing down the pit-stop manoeuvre.

The idea that has certainly aroused a lot of curiosity in the paddock will not be abandoned, but will be revived as soon as a version of the tail wing capable of withstanding the stresses on the track is ready. But we won't have long to wait...

It’s going to be epic watching the second championship unfold between Fred and Lewis. There’s no doubt they both covet the best-of-the-rest trophy. After reading the posts here, I’m confident Aston will give Fred the car he needs to be very competitive the remainder of the season. Hats off to Krack and the team for bringing the car back from the update hiccup.

Just as has been for a decade. If MB has something it’s silently allowed and in worst case forbidden the next season. With all other teams it’s almost immediately forbidden…
The Ferrari International Assistance fairytale has been conveniently used to distract from this practice.

The phenomenon is very much real. F1 has always needed top auto manufacturers in the sport to give it legitimacy and prestige as the premier motorsport competition. This is why Ferrari gets paid more than any other manufacturer. Mercedes is just as important now.

Best I could find is:

"The people at the factory are really stepping on the gas. When we had those races in July, where our performance curve went down a bit, the lights in the factory never went out."
"We analysed everything and made new parts for Zandvoort, for Monza and in Singapore we’ll have more as well. We don’t want to let up now."
New parts it seems but I don't think he ever said something big.

If you read the formu1a article and then the Motorsport article that they quote as their source.. I feel like they are misinterpreting/making a stretch that isn't quite there to be concluded.
