Not bad speeds but the straight line speed after parabolica still gives me the jitters. SAI and ALB look godly fast on the straights

Oscar is 3rd on the speedtrap with the old wing. Don't know if he had a tow, but I'm not sure if the new wing improves top speed significantly either.

I saw that Oscar is in the top 3 in terms of maximum speed. He scored 346 km/h.
348 in fact at his fastest with no tow, at least the nearest car was 700m away, this is just over 6 seconds so juuuust outside a tow perhaps. Norris was 337 with no tow at all.

On face value, it seems the low df doesn't work, but who knows, perhaps there was a fuel differential, difference in engine maps. Actually I'm not sure when he did this fastest speed, and at one point one driver was Meds and one Hards so.....

How do we know if the others' speeds are with or without tow?

I think it’s more how fast the car gets to Vmax. I believe the FER and Williams get to it a lot earlier on the straight hence the gain in S1 over the Macca. Still this isn’t going to be as bad as I feared! Game on

Clearly excellent in the corners let's hope we'll be decent on the straights

The API can provide telemetry and 2 columns are Driver Ahead and Driver Distance ahead. Around just over 100m is a second. Typically a tow is 6 seconds or less.

I got you. And on the fastest lap? The difference between our drivers is minimal on soft tires.

I can add that the highest speed for Lando without Tow occured on Lap 8 and for Oscar, Lap 14.
I'm going to play with the API tonight and see if I can extrapolate compounds also and put it into a cube of data, which I will make available.

I'll take a look at the fastest lap.

Edit: Typo, was lap 14 for Oscar, not 18.

I was also surprised that we are fast in double Lesmo, fast in Ascari and Parabolica. And that goes for both Lando and Oscar.

The team is most likely perplexed about which setting option to choose for tomorrow. :D

I am trackside at ascari and Lando threw the car in there. It was incredible.

Just one thing to note. The McLarens are noticably louder than any other car through here. I don't know if that means anything in terms of engine modes.
You would imagine it does
