LionsHeart I would say let's wait and see. The car seemed much better than Spa and hopefully we can play games with a DRS train. Let's also count the fact that Monza usually has lots of incidents in the first lap between the top 6.

Anyone has top speeds to compare?

Hmmm. I knew it was going to be a tough weekend. I am even somewhat surprised that both cars reached the third segment. Given the unimportant pace, tomorrow we may not score points. But mentally I'm ready.
They chose the wing suited for one lap pace. But maybe we will be ok. With so few turns to scrub the tyres all is not lost, but I think it will be tough to score some points.

As a Norris fan, that was a poor quali from him. There have been a few weekends this year he's left a bit on the table in the final run. These one offs are okay, but he needs to consistently outqualify Piastri over the next few races if he wants to assert himself as the undisputed number 1

The next good upgrade on Singapore if things go well should fix the slow speed and top speed problems further. Compared to where Mclaren would have been here with the old car out of Q1 and battling for 15th-16th it's a significant improvement.

Not sure, I think they feared a repeat of Spa with the draggier wing. Hopefully this wing will allow us to at least hold position tomorrow.

It's 11-3, isn't it? Or something like that?

Therre wasnt too much difference in top speed without a tow. Wing with loaded top element will see a greater reduction of load under DRS and this suits Qualy also.

I'd have preferred the other wing but they have the data.

Can you link to where it has been leaked or announced about what the next upgrade will improve?

I missed qualifying. Which wing did each car run?

Lando needs to get a new engine. This is the worst track for McLaren.

Nice, thanks. Even in slow corners, so at the least slow corners will improve.

agreed, might as well if we're only on for a couple points. would be really frustrating if we end up taking it somewhere like suzuka, where we should be more competitive.

Looking a Piastri v Hamilton, we are faster for every inch of the track except the apex of most corners.

You can see that Piastri also started the lap too slow, this cost him a much higher start positio, he could have had 4th, without a doubt..
