If it wasn't for the entry we'd be the match of RB through the chicane and superior on exit. It is one thing that never goes away, rear traction of this car is championship quality.

Entry was always the issue with the car but was manageable. It looks unmanageable now.

It definately feels like those corners are not compatible with the Aerodynamic operating window.of the car. Car also struggles with dirty air, znother reason I'd prefer the other wing today. This weekends front behavior may be a little worse due to the cutout front wing.

Perhaps the dive of the car is the reason, but the way Piastri attacks the corner looks more severe and the opposite of someone trying to raise a little the nose on entry.
I support these words. But I did not see the front wing with trim. In any case, it seemed to me that the team abandoned this option.

Poor corner entry is due to the low downforce rear wing. Lacks stability in the back. A more heavily loaded rear wing would solve this problem, but then we would probably lose more on long straights.
I think peak downforce difference on the rear is not huge. Based purely on what I've heard from the team I think they struggle with the behaviour/deformation of those tyres and the Cologne tunnel was not suitable to replicate the change in airflow well. My gut feeling is that in this phase we lose downfirce from the floor and the new update will better condition the flow in these circumstances.

Also, let's not forget that we are faster than Aston here...
In qualifying, yes. In a race it will be the other way around.
Let's Hope Not...

Much faster yet behind us? With a DRS. Hard is probably now better than a medium - seeing as Albon pitted.

Piastri has similar pace to Russel.

You need over a second faster pace to make an overtake here. It is a matter of time until LH passes both our cars.

The team should stop screwing Oscar over at pitstops. Second time this season they have Norris undercut Piastri.

If a car is close to the car behind (Lando this time) - it makes sense to start the undercut with that car.

I don't think there is any "screwing" over happening. Team treats them equally. They could have told Piastri to let him through.

Woof. Better get past Albon. Ruining race if they can’t get by

I feel sorry for Pia that he lost track position on.pit stops, but Norris appeared to have more speed.

We need to get Albon before Ham arrives, although he isn't motoring.

Decent race pace (and raceability) compared to Spa.

Not bad if this is one of tracks that suits the car the least.

You’re right. Hamilton not that quick after all.

Yeah its doing well, I thought we'd struggle more due to track temps and the car putting heat into the tyres. But it's looking good. We are not so fast on the straights but it's enough.

Ham will hopefully slow down as the stint goes on and his tyres lose life.

Interesting that team stayed out longest on mediums.

That was the only option that they had. If they pit piastri then LH would have stayed within DRS of Norris
