The main losses for LEC came from della roggia chicane. SAI nailed the chicane where he gained over a tenth on both LEC and VER. SAI either had a very distant tow, or is running less fw flap (which is more likely the case IMO)since he had a 2-3kph adavantage on the straights. Not a crazy amount.

Excellent note on the FW flap =D> This required a very special lapfrom Sainz and he finally delivered, FW settings might hurt him in the race though...

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Can’t they put a few clicks on the wing on parc ferme though?

Impressive data for the long runs, but look at Charles dropping 0.8-0.9 over 6 laps. Even Carlos looked to drop 0.3-0.4 over his short stint too.
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

the Ferrari tyres were already 12/13 laps old at the start of the stint, though. And I doubt anyone plans to use them for almost half a race today.

But that might not be the balance Sainz prefers. I can guarantee Charles' is higher on the flap. FP3 I recall a conversation with Xavi. Here you can see he notes the degradation to the front left tyre and makes the conscious decision to go higher on the flap to protect it.

The long runs were on used tyres

Yeah at this point there must be a huge difference in the front wing flaps as Brandon suggested. The gap in each straights is massive and Max was indeed too far i think.

Again a bit of mixed feelings amongst the drivers in the drivers parade. Sainz says targeting a win is possible whilst Charles believes keeping RB's behind will be impossible.

Clean fisrt lap is all that matters in this moment in time. Deal with the rest accordingly.

I'm feeling a 1 stop on a ordinary day but that might go out the window with the really high track temps. M-H? Don't think the soft will be raced.

Death, taxes and Sainz burning his tyres. It is inevitable.

Also they can change TP as mich as they can but they still aren’t decisive enough. Why dont let charles go after Verstappen

Charles race thrown by having him sit behind a struggling Sainz, visibly and vocally confirmed by Sianz himself. This team is so unserious.

I loved it, they were in no man's land, nothing going on in the WCC/WDC, let them fight at monza.

Ooowee, what a fight towards the end. Surprised Fred let them go at it especially in front of the home crowd. Glad Sainz finally can stand on the podium this season.

Overall, good result. Given the circumstances, total points were maximized.
