Insane how Sainz completely destroyed the tyres in the second stint as well. Perez was smart around mid (more or less) stint in letting the tyres breathe a few laps where in fact he almost lost time compared to Sainz. On the other hand Carlos kept pushing, and his tyres were completely gone by lap 40. Not only the rears but also the front left.
This channel is notorious for misleading comparisons. Monza track in 2004 is like 2s faster because you can jump over all three chicanes. Try that now and you'll end up on the moon. Tarmac is also better in 2004, both lesmos are now an ice skating ring and ascari since 2022 re-pavement is a trampoline (yes, its worse now). I guess you can gain a tenth or two in parabolica now because of exta run off, but that can't compare to other drawbacks.
