McLaren MCL60

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is it not the Launch Render again?
That's what I think it is

Yeah it definitely is, I just did a comparison, it is identical.

But there should be new sidepods this weekend, from what we've been told. And a floor.
This "special livery" looks to be doing some weight saving in disguise.

Really fast comparison. Gone the two steps that split and morphed the air downward and replaced by two that split the air and accelerate it more upward and more uniformly

Excellent and clear comparison. Very speedy too - thank you very much !! Mind if I share elsewhere? Will credit

I think that the pice under the sidepod bodywork is an entirely diffirent part of the car, there just for transportation purpuses, so it is useless to compare it with the under-sidepod bodywork on assambeled car.

Is it clear that the part on the top picture is the replacement for the bottom panel? Feel like we cant know for sure until it is on the actual car

The floor bolt to the side pods

You can clearly see the lines of the floor connecting to the sidepod structure

It does look like that piece to fit on the floor topside, but in the stand appear to be stored such that we are looking at the reverse side of it (underneath) and so you have to flip it in your mind 3D to get correct view.

No, that's not true. A comparison of two photographs highlights two completely different elements. The element that covers the lower side safety structure is attached exclusively to the floor. In another photo, this part is directly a general part of the side pontoon.

Edit: I just saw that the protection casing itself was highlighted. Yes, perhaps there are some changes here, if we do not see only this element as if from the bottom reverse side.

One wing spec fitted on each car. Probably going to be close in terms of performance between the two choices again, especially with weather as it is here
