McLaren MCL60

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Tobi Grüner:

The F1 teams tested a lot of different wing configurations in Monza.

Interesting... Wonder what will be used where...

Now it make sense the "stelth" livery. We will try and hide as much as possible with the carbon reflections. It is almost impossible from these pictures to understand the new air flow

I can assure you the stealth livery was not a decision made to hide new components. It does not matter whether there is more carbon, it is equally as difficult to understand the airflow just from looking at the car with a livery or not. If it was the case, then it would not be a one-off livery and a season long thing. From what I can see, there are not many if not any changes to the body of the car apart from circuit specific louvres.

I think I read only Norris has the upgrades for Singapore. This is Piastri's car and it should be the old spec.

The undercut is swept back more, if my eyes see correctly.
I think this team are on a good trajectory. They just need to sort out the suspension to improve the low speed.
For Sure!!

Against which picture? I can only see Piastri's car in detail which is the old spec. There is a tweet outside the garage of the sidepods of both cars but Landos Sidepod is obscured and hard to see.

Edit: I don't think there are any pictures of the updates yet, show and tell will likely be the first time they are displayed.

This is the same article just without a pay wall. For those who don't know Motorsport and autosport are the same company and release the same articles although many times Motorsports articles are free where autosports aren't.

That is a lot of non-circuit-specific upgrade.

The sidepod inlet is clearly with a large underbite now. Iirc the pre-singapore car does not sport such a huge underbite
