Should ferrari let leclerc past sainz?
Naah Sainz wouldn’t obey
Yea but this is wasting the soft tyre on leclerc.
But also is sacrificing leclerc race as russel's engineer pointed out.
Ferrari should but leclerc ahead and let him scamper off till he gets a pit window. He may need yo pit 1 more than the others.
For Sure!!

Wait. They put Charles on softs, and this move alone endangers him, and now asking for 5 seconds to Sainz??

What was the purpose of the soft tyres? Get in front of George and then do a train for Mr Sainz?

Might be boring, but I think this is actually a great strategic battle. Basically a standoff

This snoozefest is why we need rufueling back. This sort of extended stint just wouldn't be possible you would you have to pit to refuel.

Yep.
Dumb. They could get 5 seconds by switching the cars and let charles increase the gap. But theyre pandering to Sainz feelings.
Ferrari letting the drivers control their faith again.
For Sure!!

Issue is, due to the nature of the track it doesn't make sense to drive off into the distance as the track is very demandin. Furthermore, you don't want to create a gap in the field if you are in front as it gives those behind you the chance to undercut so like Monaco the target is to win this race as slow as possible.

sainz has got enough pace to win on his own. already at 6s to russell. leclerc will also build up enough gap to prevent undercut. only SC & VSC can mess with them
