Genuinely terrible. Some marketing departments really cannot be trusted.organic wrote: ↑23 Sep 2023, 03:07This feels made up, but here we are

It's not hooked up but less understeer than yesterday to my eye. The hairpin was a bit better today as well. On Friday Verstappen was only able to set purple in sector 1. Today he purpled all 3 so it has definitely progressed compared to yesterday. Exit out of the final chicane is a bit more hooked up as well across the camber.
yeah the final chicane is a lot better than yesterday. Maybe some sector 1 compromise to make the car okay in the hairpin/final chicaneAR3-GP wrote: ↑23 Sep 2023, 04:55It's not hooked up but less understeer than yesterday to my eye. It could just be more fuel, and as I said to our friend yesterday, RB would turn up the vtec considerably on Saturday.organic wrote: ↑23 Sep 2023, 05:03Seems like RB have gone with less load for Max? Or they're running with more fuel in the short run. The s1 performance in the high speed is a lot worse than yesterday
hmm just got a photo of Max's wing, it's the same as yesterday. They've just finally turned the engines up. Strange then that the performance in Sector 1 was so bad compared to friday.

You aren’t going to notice a few clicks more or less on the wings.organic wrote:Seems like RB have gone with less load for Max? Or they're running with more fuel in the short run. The s1 performance in the high speed is a lot worse than yesterday

Rear wings can't be "clicked"dialtone wrote: ↑23 Sep 2023, 05:12You aren’t going to notice a few clicks more or less on the wings.organic wrote:Seems like RB have gone with less load for Max? I'm just saying in general the differences in wings are tiny and result in a few kph difference in top speed.
Rb didn't change the DRS component and you think RB took front wing out of Max's car?dialtone wrote: ↑23 Sep 2023, 05:16I'm just saying in general the differences in wings are tiny and result in a few kph difference in top speed.
For the rear wing you can't click but you can change the DRS wing component entirely, add or remove a nolder.
Front wing, while seemingly not that important actually has quite a significant impact to top speed.
