i dont understand, right

brawn is soft on tyres, is it beacuse it has plenty of downforce on the car so it slides less and doesnt wear them away, but saying that the more downforce it would get heat in tyres quicker as tyres are being pressed into track, am i wrong?

Downforce is not the only factor. Weight distribution, suspension geometry etc. are contributing factors too.

Martin Brundle was talking about weight distribution during the race he said if a car has a more rear-biased weight distribution, the car would have difficultity to get heat into their front tyres compared to a car with front-baised weight distribution.

I'm sure they could stop the issue with simply adding more downforce, but cranking the wing all the way, while possibly fixing the tire heat problem, would make the car too slow on the straights.

This aspect of the Brawn car is a strength, but also a weakness on cooler tracks.

The past two races have be quite cold so we will see how Red Bull's Silverstone upgrade works in hotter condition like Hungary. Martin Brundle said Red Bull has increased the wheelbase of their car. Let's see if that would help them to keep up with Brawn at hotter races.
