This is hilarious - someone developed trophies that light up with a flag/colors when you kiss the trophy and no one told Lando and OScar :D.

I would have made it remote controller - and just click when they raise it up.

Considering NOR lost 4s to VER in VSC and another 1s or so behind PIA. The “real gap” was more like 15s behind VER. But he was probably still taking it very easy.
I think it was 6 seconds under the VSC, and a good 5 seconds lost in traffic after pitting.

Fantastic result for the team! Lando only 20 seconds off Max despite losing over 10 seconds after the Perez incident, brilliant drive. Oscar struggled with tyre management, but held it together under pressure for a first podium. Bravo!
What's even more impressive is Lando basically did to the rest of the field what Max did to him. If the Perez incident didn't happen then he probably would have been a bit closer although Max definitely still had some pace in hand.

I think the gap before the VSC was 6s and it was 9s after the VSC ended

Max definitely had pace in hand, but Lando's pace was incredibly strong. Another perspective is Lando could have finished 30 seconds ahead of the Ferraris on merit.

Bravo McLaren, a well-deserved double podium, today we are the second fastest car. =D> Both drivers are great fellows, I like their attitude towards red bull.

Team feed said he lost 6 seconds, so was just going off that.

Did Norris lose a lot of time under the VSC? I can't recall the gaps exactly, but surely he wasn't 10 seconds behind MV and just 1.5 seconds ahead of Leclerc. I reckon he lost 3-4 seconds.

Was it due to Perez incident?

Missed both last weeks and todays races however all in all looks like very good results for the team especially considering where they come from.

49 points is the gap to Aston Martin now with 6 races to go…..could 4th position in the constructors be achieved I wonder

I think Norris has shut a lot of people with that performance. The vast majority of fans are very respectful and objective in their views. But some lap up some of this media narrative of late against Lando, and it almost seems like they wait for him to slip up in any way possible.

Anyway, amazing race for us and congrats to Oscar. He is an unbelievable talent and got what he really should've had in Silverstone already. Great day!

Yes. Perez was slow and Lando was not sure if he can pass him - so he lost about 4 seconds.

Perez almost took Norris out at Spooner's corner. I think that's where he lost Lando, just about a short time later the race was restarted.

Good race. Race pace was high enough to call the McLaren clean for second speed on the track. Great job by Lando and Oscar. Great job by the mechanics at the pitstops. I remain extremely happy with 2nd and 3rd place. Earlier this year, when the team came in 5th and 6th place, I was already very happy. Lando took better care of the tires. I think the settings were a little bit different, but that's just a guess. Maybe it was just the driving itself. Either way, the team takes 33 points. We're rapidly closing the gap to Aston.

Scenario 7 is working for Lando :D
