Gonna be chaos for sure. I wonder if some of the top teams will try to use mediums in some quali sessions with the lack of low speed..

would need to double check the rules, but I don't think it's allowed?! Softs only for Quali, M-M-S for the shootout, as far as I remember.

edit: I just had another look, and it seems like they can run whatever they want in Quali, but need to keep two new sets of mediums to be allowed to participate in SQ1/SQ2

Yea it's not about not being allowed to but simply not having enough sets, especially with the race in mind.

it's actually an old rule I was referring to. In 2021 only soft tyres were allowed during Qualifying at sprint weekends.

No dramatic intent but can someone explain to me how are those RBR and Mercedes wings legal?

Wasn't the idea of the rounded rear wing that you would stop generating vortices and reduce the efficiency of the wing to help the following car? They basically reintroduced the side plate on the rear wing and even started putting little DF generation surfaces on the sides.

It’s the same as with the front wing endplates.
The meet the letter of the regulation (the surface continuation radii comply where the surface is continuous), but stomp all over the intent.
The only way that I can see these kind of developments disappear is for a standard supply endplate to be issued. Doesn’t really sit nicely with me, but there you go.
