Something feels off with that tweet at present.

There isnt enough journo's tweeting the outcome of the meeting for me to have confidence in it. Normally everyone will jump on it, albert fabrega, chris medland, andy benson etc. Heard nothing from them yet
AMus is normally quite reliable.

Something just feels 'off' with the lack of tweeting.

Pitlane will be a HIVE of activity if it comes off. Everyone will bail in on the last lap they have. Double stacking, unsafe releases, impeding. Could be saucy.

I understand where you're coming from, assuming its an early scoop for now and others have yet to vet the info.

One can only assume that a used will be even less then?
20 laps in total is the maximum for used tyres, according to Grüner

as far as I can see, this leaves Hamilton worst off from the front runners, by the way, but also McLaren and Ferrari have not much flexibility in regards to strategy. To make a three stopper work, they need to run almost all of their sets to the allowed limit.

What happens to those teams that are passed the start/finish line in the garages? They could come in lap lap 18, cross the line to the end of the pit and your on lap 19!!!

So what Amus reported is not true? I see nothing here that highlights the outlap and inlap.

Edit: misread

The control line is always either before or behind all the garages. In Qatar it's the former.

So is crossing that line consider the start of the 19th lap if you box on lap 18?

1.What`s the delta time between C1 - H tyre and C2 - M tyre? Or should I say it'll worth to run full speed on hard tyre rather than to manage a medium one lasting for 18 laps?
2.Then maybe it's worth having a 4 stop race, bearing in mind that they lose some 22 sec. on the pitstop and delta time could be 1.5 sec per lap (so it'll take some 15 laps to recover the time lost in the pits) taking into account what I`ve said above on the first question... not to mention that it'll be at least one SC phase in the race...
