However your effectively left with this, to make a 3 stopper. Other tyres are there, but you wouldnt get the full 15laps out of them to maximise a 3 stopper.

What do the brackets mean? You sometimes use a 7 and somtimes a (7)?

Google sheets didnt allow me to put a single (7) without changing it to a -7 as seen on some other sheets.

Verstappen doesn't have to use the hard tire. He could do 3 medium stints and then a 4 lap run at the end on softs which is just about how long they lasted in the sprint.

As for the others...well...it's definitely unfair to find out this is the situation so late.

People assuming certain drivers are in a spot of bother when we haven't had a single lap or know if or when SC's will be deployed is funny to me, relax, stop obsessing and enjoy the race in less than 2 hours time

SC inside a stint is basically nulled, unless you opt for a extra stop. Inside a small 1-3lap window from 18 lap tyre age....send it, only works if you have enough tyre to last you more than 59laps though on your final tyre.

Most teams will probably run mediums for a while - in order to open up some flexibility in their strategies. Sprint showed very likely safety cars so having flexibility is a must. Soft may come as a last stint tyre when the flexibility is no longer required and performance (or restart performance) is paramount.

This race will be close to IndyCar in terms of how strategy can make or break your day, I just wish Verstappen did not have almost the best tyres. It would open up opportunities for other teams. Given how the tyres sit, it's possible VER is clearly ahead of the rest as he has good tyres and good tyre management.

It was pretty much announced pre sprint shootout. That people couldnt set their lap in one run is on them. Everyone is in the same situation.

It looks like Mediums are the best performing tire. That means Max has a 2-4 lap offset assuming a M/H/M/S until Bottas in P9 and Tsunoda in P11. On a M/H/M/M or M/M/M/S Max has a 4-9+ lap advantage on the rest of the field. After Max, Alonso has a 2-5+ offset to the rest of the field. Ham has 10 laps left on his third medium vs. 12-17 on the drivers around him so if they go used medium at the end he may need to go new soft
