So Norris is 5s off Max despite being +16s off him after clearing traffic on lap ~20. RB are not so quick this weekend
Slow stop + Verstappen isn't pushing

This track should never ever grace a formula one car ever again, there's so many other tracks that can take its place.

You saw his fastest lap now. He seems to have managed the pace today. No risk.

Max is sandbagging. Late pitstops, asked to slow things down. Just keeping the gap as it is and not pushing with his new tyres. Pulling an easy fastest lap right before the end.

But McLaren did a strange decision by not letting Norris pass and try to win. Bad decision for the fans and the race.

Maybe the RB are looking after the cars again due to the high temps?

The track is excellent, the tires are crap. Not to mention we have 4 more years of these crap tires!

Perez has no race pace + when Verstappen isn't pushing he's still not usually slower than others by a few tenths

Most chaotic races are entertaining. This one was very much the opposite. Just painful from multiple different viewpoints.

Whatever the case this is the closest mclaren was this year. In a straight fight this would be a really good race, but as it stands everything that could go Verstappens way did. Even the stupid pitstops could hardly sort themselves better with mclaren dropping 5-10 seconds by being stuck behind slower cars.

Norris thinks he was fastest today, i don't think it's completely implausible, he did gain like 10s after all. Yes Ver has that fastest lap but we know they're not really representative.

As he should. Never a good idea on trying to be a hero on the outside while three cars abreast. Same mistake Perez did yesterday.
