Great lap by Lando, a shame Oscar didn't put that lap together.

Let's go for a lot of points on Sunday!
To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one's ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone. ― Bruce McLaren

Wow - great lap by Lando. He seems to think again that he didn't get a good lap:
"NOR → PIT
Good job guys, car was decent, I wasn't. Good position for Sunday"

Not sure where Oscar lost all that time. Seems like he lost a little bit in every sector and at first it looked like he caught up in Q2.
I don't think he could do more, he got the max and got a P2 that in most situations wasn't ours. Top lap.
Lando seems to think there is more. I guess that is good news.

Btw P2 may be better starting spot here.
Doesn't he always :D

I didn't catch Oscar's lap, look forward to hearing from those who see the onboards.

Either something happened or a bad day at the office.

Long wait until the race.

Hopefully the team does well tomorrow in the sprint. It's a good points haul if you finish on the podium.

Oscar was green on S1 and S2 but a mistake on T11 cost him some time putting 0.6 behind Lando.
Also Lando complain about two small mistakes on T11 and T12, this is why he said pole was on table today.

Anyway, P2 is excellent and also Oscar can turn up on Sprint Shootout.

They all made little mistakes, ifs and buts get you nowhere.

I found it hard to read this session. In the end it was the drivers making the difference today. Despite not getting into the top 4 or 5 after a full set of runs throughout most of Q, Lando pulls a blinder on his last lap.

Oscar was not doing brilliantly in S1 and S2 regardless.

The Mcl struggled in turns 1, 3 4,11,12 and 14, relative to the RBs deleted time.

We made time on the straights, but RB were running a high DF wing than us, which would explain the differences. A bigger wing might have been better here.

Great job by Lando. Would had been even better to have pole with rare errors from Max, but tbh beforehand I would had taken P2 everyday of the week around here. A shame Oscar didn’t pull it together but with a sprint weekend he has enough opportunities to make up for it :)

Nice change of tactic, it’s usually Mclaren with the big wing

We’ll all be scratching our heads wondering what went wrong today is he wins the sprint again tomorrow😄

I think a bigger wing would have given us pole... It is the corners that were the big differentiator here in the end.
