He's just returned from injury and has had ONE practise session prior to Qually! Seriously, You can't expect him to be beating Yuki immediately under those circumstances. Not to mention that Yuki has experienced the progression of the car for the last 3 races and has first-hand experience with the 2-3 iterations AT have brought since Daniel's accident.Wouter wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 09:49What a great second debut for Ricciardo this year in the AT04 compared to Yuki!
With all his experience in F1, he is much slower than Liam Lawson who took over from Ricciardo as a rookie.
Liam adapted to the car very quickly and immediately drove good sessions. And Ricciardo with his eternal big smile?
He was brought into SAT as the great savior. Well, when are we going to see that?
Sorry but this is complete BS and borderline trolling. Ricciardo is leading the head to head 2-1 over Yuki in races and qualli before this weekend. He just again returned after breaking a bone in his hand in 7 places. Besides that there is still the sprint and main race to go at Austin anyway. Yuki and the team are happy to have Dan back for various reasons as mentioned in the team report. Yuki mentioned his feedback in helping setup the car so far.Wouter wrote: ↑21 Oct 2023, 09:49What a great second debut for Ricciardo this year in the AT04 compared to Yuki!

The car isn't phenomenal here which is a bit unfortunate. But makes things a bit easier for Daniel on his first weekend backrunningmanz wrote: ↑22 Oct 2023, 04:32Nice for Dan to bounce straight back after the broken hand and very little running time and finish ahead of Yuki in the sprint qualli and race. Nice pass on Stroll too. Said he still feels a little rusty so will be good for the run.

On which laps was that? I have watched and compared their laptimes during the whole race. I am just curious.
