Doesn't bode well for the race, but this is very odd. We haven't had this issue of only being good on the softs since before the Austria upgrades...

It could just be that the guys haven't got themselves dialled in, it's a tricky track, but we can't afford mistakes in Q2. We need the big laps now to get us on the soft where hopefully we can start to push further forward.

Very surprised by this slower showing so far. Does this have any correlation with long run pace or is that a matter of the high fuel rather than the compounds effect itself. I guess we will see either way later today.

Yeah spoke a little too soon. We will see if we are in the game with Ferrari on the long runs tonight I guess

Have they made the white line wider at T19? Russell was quite wide but "still on the line"

The pecking order seems all over the place with the Mercs down so low in SQ2. Probably, as a wise someone said earlier just a case of drivers pushing/putting laps together to different extents. On another note, what the hell is that white line at T19? Where is the track limits now...
