I'm sorry but the timing, tone, everything makes this video feel a bit odd! Marko also doesn't feature.

Feels a bit like a farewell video you make when a driver leaves.
.
Yes, I feel the same.

 You guys are imagining things that are not there. They are just supporting their driver at his home race after a very stressful season and I don't blame them. They want the partnership to work. They want the best out of him. I also think that Christian Horner likes Checo as a person very much. They are often seen together. They probably relate well as they are both fathers.

That's the realistic take. I'm going with my intuition :D

Perez on this weekend:
"We have made some very good steps with the car but didn’t get to fully show our progress due to taking some wrong directions with the set up this past weekend.

"I am optimistic for this week, we know what direction we have to take now so hopefully we get to show that."

Promising. I think this will be a good weekend for Perez relative to the past.

From van haren
The plank under car Verstappen was not affected at all in Austin. "Maybe we were even too conservative," he said.

On checks FIA: "If one car turns out to be illegal, I do think you have to check the other car of that team as well."

By the way, Verstappen expects a tricky weekend in Mexico, especially over one lap. "Personally, I don't think this is one of our best circuits, looking at how our car goes in the slow corners and over the kerbstones."

He will be under tremendous pressure as well. What Perez needs is perhaps to be less hard on himself and enjoy his time driving for the best team on the grid. A podium finish will be great for Perez and if he has the pace to win this one, I am sure RBR will do their best to make it happen.

Nugnes but apparently RB has "two new experimental floors" which they will test this weekend

They spent the whole summer honing them. Should be a masterpeice whichever on makes it to 2024 development.

I doubt it will be that telling. RB won't want to give others any ideas about what they're doing: my guess is just testing small avenues to confirm their WT numbers. Don't want to get sucked down the wrong route over the winter

What is unclear is if "Two floors" means two separate floor designs, or simply two copies of the same floor in order to have one for both drivers.

Well chances are pretty high, we get to see Perez's floor, especially if the rain comes.

Max Verstappen will have bodyguards for the Mexican Grand Prix confirms Marko

"Max doesn’t actually want that and is relaxed. But we have responsibility for him. So we just want to be on the safe side."
.
For the people who wunder why he needs protection:
On another forum you could read the following:
.
I was watching some videos on YouTube and reading the comments.
At first I could laugh about it because I thought that a few loners were suffering from some frustration in combination with a shortage of brain cells.
I quickly got over the laughter when you read what those (particularly) Mexicans wrote. They are completely off track. These are conspiracy theorists 8.0.
They think it is entirely justified that Max is being threatened with death, it is his own fault and they hope that the cartels will do their work.
Reason for this?
-Max and Jos would pay RB a lot of money to sabotage Checo's car so that Checo would crash. RB is happy to work with this, so they don't have to pay a lump sum and they get rid of Checo. (yes they really believe it)
-Brazil 2022 is reason enough
-The now well-known story that Max gets a better car (and that is because of Jos, who demands it)
And so there are numerous theories about Max, Jos, Sofia, Kelly, Helmut, Horner, with the common denominator: These are the scum of the world, who do everything they can to make Perez's life miserable and are to blame for the poor performance from Perez.

We cannot imagine the hatred that is spewed there. You think it can't get any crazier, but then you read another comment to find out that it can get even crazier.
And what is completely absurd is that the people who wish that Max would not survive this trip call the Max fans toxic.
So those people are really not on the right track and the disturbing thing is that there are many of them and they really believe in their own delusions. With full conviction.
.
Helmut Marko and Horner have asked Perez to address his fans about their behavior in Austin; that their behavior is unacceptable and they should behave respectfully towards all drivers.
Did he do that during the press conference? I couldn't watch the PC.
How would Perez feel about his own fans booing and wishing death on his own teammate, his family and RBR?

In other news. The ABA from last year has now expired so Red Bull should see a small increase in windtunnel time from now on. Should help a lot over the winter and start of season.

No sign of Chubby Brown thank goodness (British comedian (supposedly?) who does inside the helmet)
