Car was mega here as expected. Monster through S2 compared to its competitors
why was it to be expected? Because of the Honda turbo, or is there something I missed?

Last year AT was completely crap in Mexico, and Verstappen also said that the Honda advantage is gone. So I'd think there must be a different reason?

They have lots of downforce at the expense of drag. Due to the thin air the drag penalty is lowered, therefore they could do well here. How much needs to be seen since the others also have lower drag of course.

Just waiting for Wounter to discuss Riccardo's P2 times...
I like the speed that Richardo is showing.
But, honestly we cannot draw any comparison this weekend, the most likely thing is that the team is preparing Yuki car exclusively for the race, he has about 15 penalty places.
We know that Richardo will qualify higher than Yuki, and I hope Richardo has a good race on Sunday.

Believe so.. maybe it's still not decided, or they're holding off until Vegas where they feel it'll make a bigger impact?

Brilliant from Danny Ricc- so glad to see him knocking in some brilliance of old!

Hope he gets the main team seat next year as he’s box office.

Impressed with Ricciardo really, the guy has not forgot to drive as some people think, he just needs specific car handling and it seems RBR/AT gives him that.

Beating Perez while driving an AT is one hell of a message to send!

That was epic driving from him, even without the tow from Yuki in Q3, he was only 1/10th slower than Max.

I do feel really sorry for Yuki tho - maybe I misunderstood, but was it the rookie in FP1 that killed his PU?

It’s not a specific car, it’s a normal car. Lando and Carlos have both said the McLaren’s do not handle like a normal F1 car.

Daniel was good even in the crap box HRT in his first season. And he was also very good in the Renaults.

The document on fia site is from the start of p1. So nothing to do with the rookie.
Still pretty sad that the car does this well and he has to start from p19 with a ton of potential drs trains.
