Haas and Stroll. Both ridiculous blocks.
Indeed. Anything other than penalties would be a surprise.
Fp3 blocks don't get anything other than reprimands when they're looked at

Yes. On a track where they aren't particularly strong, this doesn't bode well....

Leclerc actually set the fastest 1st sector before Magnussen blocked him in S2.

Yes! 1-2 and second pole in a row for Charles! I knew Ferrari had a shot at first row, but would have not expected a 1-2. Awesome performance.

Really excited to see the race pace tomorrow.

What a qualifier Charles is !
Good job locking out the front row. I can be an interesting race tomorrow. The amazing top speed will help to keep track position

This was unexpected. Worst track ever for a front row lock out though, lol

Leclerc ahead of Sainz in this track is a huge surprise.

Won’t finish on the podium, waste of time getting on the front row with this car

Congratulations to the team and to both drivers... this came as a surprise really after the image they gave the whole weekend.

Even though i have the sense after i rewatched the 1st laps of both drivers in Q3 that the engines where different. Leclerc did 350klm on straight also. My thought is that they raised the engine to the limit for that lap in both drivers and then they turned the engine to normal safe setting for the 2nd ran to be able to do the race tommorow with the last setting. This also explain why noone improved in the 2nd run in Q3.
Its a thought, what do you think?

I actually think both cars can finish on the podium here. Good straight line speed. Deg wasn't bad for Leclerc in Austin.

Qualified behind in 2021 and 2022. Would have been behind Vettel in 2019 as well without the double yellow (bottas crash). He doesn't like this track and he doesn't like the SF 23. Seems the Suzuka floor helped him quite a bit.

Amazing job by the team but most of all drivers. Difficult car, difficult track with low grip & low downforce. Track position is more important in Mexico than most tracks so I could see a race like Monza playing out - not necessarily the same outcome though :D

I'm not sure why this is such a surprise. The last FP3 attempt, the one blocked by traffic, was looking like a fabulous lap by both drivers. Tomorrow could be a nice double podium, but this pit wall will find a way.
