Maybe they can play the DRS train game against Max ? Ofc it's not Singapore but I mean the straight line speed of the car is pretty huge this weekend

It could cause both Ferraris to be vulnerable to undercut.

If the field is close enough, not really... especially given that Norris is starting out of position.

And the SF 90, SF 21 and SF 23 are all cars with massive limitations on the front end.

What an amazing qualifyer he is.
Nevertheless, we have to say that Carlos was much closer this year, even when he was beaten.

During qualifying there is also way less way to --- up. In the race thanks insane strategies they ruined so many great performance (Monaco, Hungary, Silverstone, Austin, Sochi and many more)...

From my records, he was closest in 2021 on pace, especially the second half of that season.

Where Sainz has really closer this year has been race pace.

Either way, Leclerc is easily one of the best in the field at pushing a car to its limits over one lap. Impressive.

Its undeniable, even if you could claim that the Ferraris he's had were good on 1-lap. You can point to Silverstone and Baku in 2020 and many other performances that year which showed his supremacy over a lap.

He's obviously the best qualifier on the grid and more often than not will have pole if the car is capable of it imo

Totally agree. I would just say Sakhir 2020 was his most impressive qualy for me... putting the SF1000 in 4th

Qualy pace has never been Alonso strong point imo. He's like Max, his comparative advantage is being a pure racer

that is what a lot of people think because alonso is a freaking GOD on race pace, overtake, deffense and starts, but if you analyze what he has done against his teammates, only Senna has better stats

Max is superfast in quali. The difference is that he has always driven a strong "race" car. For Charles is the opposite (on top of having to deal with understeer all the time thanks to the genius of Binotto Sanchez and Cardile).
