Piastri start was OK, he was slowed by the perez crash but Russell wasn't.

My mistake. I thought he started in front of the two Mercedes and lost a place. His start was ok indeed.

Yeah I think he needs one more stop. If others 1 stop he will drop back, but I don't think they can, so he'll be fighting in the top 8 or even 6.

It feels like Lando may have the optimal strategy over many here.

If others try and drag out a long one stop, and lando gets on some mediums later, could come back at them all again.

He's definateky doing the business and getting back on track. Let's see how this plays out. A safety car or VSC can change everything

Now 8th, great work. Need to drag this out as long as possible with good pace.

I think Lando is P8 on "merit" now. He is on plan A, target plus 5, so he has one more pitstop but so does everyone else except Ferrari.

I look forward to Lando fighting on a new medium at the end.
