If/when the Feeraris hard tyres come good, they're going to blast past the Mercs with those top speeds they have of they get back at them.

The mediums should be fine they'll just go through a graining phase

Are Merc banking on that even though the mediums will be dead, that the hard on the Ferrari wont be enough to overtake as they'll also be worn and they know that they can't stop on for any new sets?

HAM/RUS eed to do a stint of 36 laps on 5 lap old mediums. I suspect they are going over a cliff come 30-35 laps

Pretty uneventful restart in the end. Ham needed DRS from lap 1.

Verstappen led the race from P3 at the beginning. Hamilton just didn't get a good start. No advantage from the mediums.

Could be.

Lewis' pace is better than both Ferraris in clean air but could only overtake either via an undercut or a big tyre delta after the start.

But that tyre delta overtake ability could also be the mercs downfall too.

Where is leclerc's pace all of a sudden? I know he had to make space for cooling but gap is now 4s and he's a second off Verstappen's pace. Graining?

At this pace, Hamilton could afford to pit again I think and still be in with a chance of P2.

What a race from Yuki. Two times from 18 to 8 on M and H. Difficult to past Piastri now, but a great race from him.

Definitely Piastri turning into Yuki there.

Ferrari pit wall asked Charles to increase lift and coast "because of the tow ".

Could be that their strategy is just to keep George behind Carlos by giving him Charles distant tow until the tyre delta comes into play.

If there is a safety car now, Ferrari wins this. No one else has tires left.

They wanted him further behind hamilton, not helping Sainz which would be very risky as he could cause overheating for him in the end. Anyway, Verstappen has a second on them in this stint which is very strange.
