The gap between Norris' 3rd sector and the mercedes, is shocking.

4th and 5th is fine though. Definitely a different feel than last year

Merc's only play this weekend is tire deg I feel. It can still come to them.

it should be better for them in race as they can catch people in the corners and others not having drs when they overtake will help a lot

Especially with the same engine. Last I checked they are 8kph down in drs conditions. And this is at altitude. Their drs is still one of the worst on the grid. Hopefully they are aware of this and fix it next year.

Yea Toto said in Mexico that their car is too draggy and that their Drs efficiency isn't very good but that's it's the development direction for next year

That's a lot, even by our usual standards and in high altitude. We must be running a lot of DF, which will be nice in Sunday's race, unless we get stuck. I reckon today's race will be decent, nothing extraordinary.

Race pace is pretty dire. seems they didn't fix the fp1 issues
