It's just frustrating to have perfect Verstappen and best car of last 30 years as our opponent.
If they want to fight for championships against this team everything has to be perfect.. if I'm McLaren I am trying to finish as close to Max as possible, always set a goal.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:23Norris asking the engineer how did he lose 1.5s in the pitstop. I'm impressed he has time to think about that.
There has to be some lingering damage… It is just too big of a difference to be driver relatedmwillems wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:25As you said, we don't know the state of the car yet but the team will talk about it later.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:23I know Piastri had damaged and that has had an impact on his pace (although, if everything was repaired to a like for like part, I don’t know how much)… But the pace difference between Lando and Piastri is huge.
Probably some diffuser damage that couldn't be fixed.....at least I hope that's what it ismwillems wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:25As you said, we don't know the state of the car yet but the team will talk about it later.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:23I know Piastri had damaged and that has had an impact on his pace (although, if everything was repaired to a like for like part, I don’t know how much)… But the pace difference between Lando and Piastri is huge.
How far indeed. It's been quite the journey, and the future looks good too!SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:26If’s are useless… Let’s enjoy the opportunity to root for the team at the front that we have instead of wondering what might have been… I still remember jumping in my couch when the team would finish in the points just a few years ago and celebrate it as a win and before that, when the car would finish a race… How far have we comeSlahinki wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:19If only the car had been like this from the start of the season...SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:16

Possibly, he has had the occasional race where he struggles with the tires more than youd like, but you'd think there is some damage. If the diffuser has a knock it would take a chunk of time.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:26There has to be some lingering damage… It is just too big of a difference to be driver relatedmwillems wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:25As you said, we don't know the state of the car yet but the team will talk about it later.SmallSoldier wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:23I know Piastri had damaged and that has had an impact on his pace (although, if everything was repaired to a like for like part, I don’t know how much)… But the pace difference between Lando and Piastri is huge.
Verstappen may also be managing his pace.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 20:36Lando is on average about 0.15s slower than Verstappen in race trim.
