no idea what time zone the drivers and teams decided to adapt to, but getting back to the hotel at 6 or 7 in the morning is probably far from ideal for them as well.

When we talk "night race" in Singapore, that usually means that the sessions take place at 8 or 9 in the evening. So this is a completely different story.

This is the problem with running early morning. Why is everyone not available till 6am or similar? There are frequent delays due to red flags etc. this needs better planning.

I think Liberty media are starting to see why Bernie didn't get FOM to organise all the races. Bit of a learning curve for them to get these right. To be fair though no one else would have the financial stones to invest so much in a LV race. Two questions. What will Liberty do to make the Thursday track attendees whole? Will the FIA learn from the USGP and get their act together to let Ferrari avoid a grid drop? I think both of these organisations need to rise to the occasion.

Well, I think that is not far off the plan. Generally if you have a strip hotel in Vegas you do not go to bed before 2pm...because it is simply too loud. And if the sessions anyways are planned to end at 2am, the debriefs are not ending before 4am. So I guess they already adopted to these times.
Would be interesting when the planned night closure for the personal was planned. The time when they are not allowed to be at the track. That should give the planned time zone.

Complete debacle, this race… complete and utter clownshow… Empty grandstands, running so late/early that no one is there… Drivers will be messed up as hell from this… Dubai is 12h difference for next weekend right? Sad thing is that Liberty and FIA will still praise this as the biggest spectacle instead of admitting how badly everything has gone so far…

It could have been anyone who hit that drain cover. It's unfair.

Teams should at this point, ditch the FIA/Liberty Media clowns and make their own championship. Strike deals with historic tracks and let them enjoy their empty "street" tracks. I do not think drivers really enjoy this "show" that Liberty Media is pushing through.

There are no discerning features to tell you where you are on track at all. These modern street tracks are terrible.
