Rb have had a very questionable Saturday. Going into qualy with only 3 new sets of tires looks daft. So does mounting a new rear wing after FP3 that they haven't run all weekend.

Max had 1 set of new tyres for Q3 (which he used in his first run) and was only 3-4 tenths off. Not bad really.

RB used Max's only new soft in Q3 for the first runs, when he was 1 tenth off Charles. That's probably representative of the 1-lap pace. Leclerc was able to improve again with a second new set whilst Max didn't

I think Leclerc just messed up both of his laps in Q3 to be honest. He dropped 2 tenths in S1 compared to his best lap of Q2.

this could actually be a fun race, lots of cars out of position, mclarens will have to come through, same with sainz, ferrari looks like a proper opponent for the race. and some of the smaller teams in the mix for a top 5 as well. hoping drs is balanced, if so it could be good (hopefully)

There was something like 50 seconds left on the clock as Verstappen exited the final corner. There was absolutely no need for Ocon to pass Verstappen AFTER the final corner. Ocon basically ruined it for himself. He had time. He was behind and should have waited.

So did max tbf. Both of their Q3 S1 times were dodgy. I think things cooled and tyres needed a bit more to come into the window

How many times has max passed another driver before T1 when drivers were going to start a fast lap. More then a couple.
In his head it seems it is always acceptable for him to do it, but cry’s if someone does it to him.

Ocon had 50 seconds left on the clock. You don't pass after the final corner, It's rather simple. Especially when there's 50 seconds on the clock.

Verstappen was half a second behind Leclerc's P1 time while out on used tires and the others were on new tires. Track evolution was big and difference betweeen used and new was big. They didn't have any reason to think they were safe.

There was time for everyone. Ocon did ruin Verstappen's lap by overtaking him like and idiot when he should have waited. That you can't see that is for other reasons...
