I think we don't hear big statements or rumours from any teams this year. Even Horner reminds everyone that RBR is nearer to the limit and so can't make as big gains as others. It's the third year of this concepts, I think everyone knows pretty exactly what to do and cars will look similiar in 2024.

As the team suggested, a strong baseline which works everywhere is the big goal.

As a Mercedes customer (engine, gear box and rear suspension) it will be a good thing that they will also go the RBR way now. Hopefully also with the suspension.

Horner says that RB are also approaching the ceiling but rumours (and AMuS reporting) point in the other direction. Teams were limited in 2023 by their design decisions made even before 2022. I feel that there will be big steps made now that they will be fully redesigning cars this year rather than large carryovers from 2022 into '23.

McLaren's rate of development surely shows the ceiling can't be that close; they found over 1s in 6 months and couldn't make all the changes they wanted to

We'll get an idea in Bahrain. You can't judge how well you've done until you see how well others have done.

Looks like this account was right, Motorsport italia confirmed today that AM will launch the AMR24 on February 12 2024

Biggest advantage of the new wind tunnel is the flexibility.
Tunnel won't be fully ready until the end of the year he guess, although it will be online around August (must be set up perfectly that their standard development programme can move in).


Good news that wind tunnel testing for the 2026 regulations are not allowed until the beginning of 2025.

They can calibrate with on-track data from running in FP with aero rakes and they can run both wind tunnels concurrently to ensure that new tunnel matches old (merc) tunnel's data
