Yeah it's very different. There is technical and organizational partnership between Haas and Ferrari. RB and "RB" are owned by the same company and the same people are in charge of each team.. which feels completely against the spirit of competition.

What kind of tires are they permitted to use for the free testing of the 2 year old cars?

From their insta

Colours may be a clue for the livery. Alpine might be fuming if it's blue and pink

The second team was made to be used as a training and testing team for the most promising youngsters and it was only accepted by other teams as such at the time.
The same for Super Aguri?

I don't remember any such conditions around Toro Rosso and Super Aguri. Do you have references for that?

By 2009, they were no longer permitted to use last year's Red Bull and last year's Honda anyway.

Formula One can expect a new team next year after Honda-backed Super Aguri announced on Wednesday that they had secured the support of all their competitors. "I am very happy to be able to announce that all 10 F1 teams have approved our late entry".
https://www.eurosport.com/formula-1/tea ... tory.shtml

:?: The article mentions nothing about Super Aguri only being allowed to field junior drivers. Am I missing something? Indeed, it was well-known that Super Aguri would field Takuma Sato who had four seasons of experience.

Minardi will not be able to run this year's Red Bull car next season, because that is forbidden in the regulations, but there will be clear links between the two teams. "Of course, it will be a kind of a sister team," said Mateschitz.

:?: The only mention of Toro Rosso training junior drivers comes from Red Bull itself in this article. It is NOT listed as a requirement of Red Bull Minardi-ownership, not in this article at least. Do you have a source that shows otherwise and that is was unacceptable for Toro Rosso to field anything other than junior drivers?

So it's now allowed to have 2 teams both fully committed to fighting for the wins and titles?
:wtf: It was always "allowed" for any team to try to win. :?:

Mercedes and Ferrari better hurry up and buy another 2 teams, each...
Exactly. I've said hundreds of times that it made no sense that Mercedes did not buy Manor Racing when it was available. A B-team would be valuable to Renault also, as it would give them at least two teams to spread engine development over.

It's important to have two teams. Red Bull and Honda have shown the benefit of that.

One of the two drivers would most certainly be gone after 2024. Rightly so.

For me it does not feel like they have plans of moving Yuki up and to an extent I can understand. His peaks and valleys are too far a part, has shown his brilliance from time to time. Danny stays as long as he does not have a horrendous time next season. Personally to me it seems he'll be the first canidate to fill an open Red Bull seat. I see Perez being gone at the end next season, left without a seat. Danny fills the 2nd seat at RB and Lawson fills the open seat at this team, whoever they are by that time.

That's just a random opinion from Peter Windsor of all people and shared by one of these aggregators that shouldn't really be used for news anyway

People always say things along these lines.. these ultimatum scenarios. But it's almost impossible to predict how things go; we have Perez scoring worse in '23 than '22 despite the most dominant car ever and his job is safe, despite people calling for his head at the end of '22

I don't think anything in particular is "most certainly" going to happen anymore, nor do I think RB themselves have a plan beyond Max in RB seat 1.

It is his third season though, and all of these guys were either rookies or came mid season. We shall see how he performs against Ricciardo this year when both will start the season together.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

They'll probably call it the VCARB 01 or something silly like that
