Brilliant news.

"There are two things which really influence my decisions," Norris told Craig Slater.

"One, do I enjoy where I'm at or will I enjoy where I go to? And, two, will this team help me achieve my goal which is to become Formula 1 world champion?

"Both are now yes really and I'm more convinced than ever that that second one is especially a yes.

No specifics on Lando's contract length but both drivers tied down for at least 3 more years

You'd think it has options with a get out based on performance.

Maybe not. Lando may have looked at the fact that the other possible competitive seats would be locked down anyway. I think RBR is the only real shot to move up from McLaren, but Checo is doing enough to not make it tough enough on that team to make a change that may cause bigger headaches.

Just because he wants to win a title, he doesn't want to be locked in to a deal with Mclaren if they go South and not North, it'd be sensible to give himself options to move if he needs to.

It doesn't mean he did, but when they don't announce the length I tend to think that, like with Leclerc's announcement.

But in the link I posted there is an interview with Sky and he does note, with a wry smile, that he was aware of the driver of the potential "other car" in the RB stable :D So in terms of whether he wants to stay or go, that was a factor, but it is a separate point to a get out clause in the future.

The performance clauses with be for both parties.
Dont think Zak will make that mistake again after what unfortunately happened with Ricciardo.

Anyway, its just great news regarding Landos extension- done in advance of pre-season even so there can’t be any silly journalists asking Lando when is he moving to Red Bull?
Just a fan's point of view

I'd guess it'll run to the end of 2026 at least, with an option to extend if McLaren are winning.
Wasn't expecting Lando to move really, better to keep his options open once the pecking order
with the '26 Power Units emerges.

Surely this makes him the highest paid winless driver in history?

PS: the new livery looks really good in sunlight and videos. That orange is not flat and has a metallic sheen to it...

Great signing! McLaren are happy with the drivers and the drivers are happy with McLaren. Great to see.

Excellent news and one would think the culture and the feel in terms of where the performance is going must be relatively positive to sign.

Two very good young drivers in the team and hopefully a good technical team in place for the next few years and big reg change!
