I don't even want to believe it because it doesn't make any sense.
Ferrari doesn't need a 40-year-old Hamilton for way too much money.
Ferrari doesn't need the unrest that he causes by constantly complaining about the strategy, his tires, the other drivers and supposed unfair treatment.
Especially not if he regularly allows himself to be ironed out by a younger teammate or, in the worst case, scares him away from the team.
And for what? So that an old ex-champion can try again for another year or two in another team to become the sole record world champion?
That would be a complete lose-lose.
So I just keep hoping that this is all just nonsense, PR and contract poker.
