Right - Guys, Ladies...
Can we stop the driver yin-yang in this Ferrari Team thread please? LH vs GR and JB vs LH - not for this one - take it to Silly Season (as this is the cause of it..)
There were two rumoured RB staff joining and given gardening leave, but then it went quiet. Loic Serra confirmed to start working no earlier than 2025 for Ferrari.
I think it will take Adrian less time to win 5 more titles with Max than 1 with Lewis at Ferrari, where Charles could actually do better.Vanja #66 wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 11:21That's the point of this signing, it shook the F1 world to its core and now everything is possible. Who would miss a chance to be a part of the team that later made someone an 8-time F1 World Champ? It's a very strong and attractive story.CaribouBread wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 11:06I admit I might be getting a bit caught in the moment, but this strange thought just occurred to me. Adrian Newey has been relegated to working only on the road/track RB17 for this year, what if that scenario is just a fancy gardening leave? He gets courted all the time, what if Vasseur finally convinced him? Nobody thought Lewis to Scuderia was possible even though Lewis himself had said that its something he wanted, and Newey has mentioned something similar last year.

What is the source for the bold sentence? ThanksCaribouBread wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 11:06I admit I might be getting a bit caught in the moment, but this strange thought just occurred to me. Also, Hamilton should want someone close who speaks Italian, Bono wasn't that good anyway, no, no, no, no, no, always giving the wrong info at the wrong time.Sidiamal wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 10:24Bono might have sentimental value but I think Lewis is better off keeping Riccardo Adami around. He needs a veteran around to accommodate him who's already worked with another multi-world champion in the past. At any rate if Bono joins Ferrari it would be in a factory role, he was already on his way out of garage duties at Mercedes.
The next Rossa, which will be presented on the afternoon of February 13, should have more yellow in its livery, according to information gathered by Motorsport.com.
I did like the Monza livery, Le Mans tribute, with yellow accents.organic wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 13:57https://it.motorsport.com/f1/news/f1-fe ... /10571627/

If that’s true, why wait for 2025 ?organic wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 14:23Motorsport-total report that the deal was struck in April/may via handshake. We heard about Lewis meeting with Elkann at Monaco GP weekend at the time but it was brushed off as the usual contract negotiation tactics (look for competitive offers elsewhere as a bargaining chip)
Apparently it was all signed on paper in August.
I believe Lewis and his management decided 31st Jan because that was date he'd see Toto Wolff in person before the season starts.

Sainz contract to end of '24 so Lewis signed a 1+1 but no intention to fulfill the 2nd year option.. just merc didnt know that. If Lewis told Merc he wanted only 1yr extension because he's off in a year then Merc wouldn't be very inclined to give Lewis a £50m contract for 2024 to be honestBill_Kar wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 14:33If that’s true, why wait for 2025 ?organic wrote: ↑02 Feb 2024, 14:23Motorsport-total report that the deal was struck in April/may via handshake.
