Yea I think they changed the name but I noticed that this game will be based on this season. My question is, what is the point? 2009 season has been boring. The rosters for this season are completely old news and next year when the 2010 season starts, the rosters will be new. Doesn't make sense to me. Can't they make the game based on the 2010 regs, rosters, etc. etc. or does the FIA/FOTA need to approve of that as well?
WII and PSP will be based on the 2009 season, but by March April next year they will realease the F1 2010 game on all platforms, the PS3 and X-Box 360 one will feature the 2009 cna 2010 cars as well as many other cars from previous years, rumored to be as many as 5 cars from each team.
From what ive read on the full F1 2010 game, thers gonna be many things thats gonna get any hardened F1 fan or Gamers teeth into.
The amount of work they are putting into the tracks is quite impressive.
I read in F1 racing that things like corner markers are not just made once, each one is modelled is after the real one at the real corner, including height, color, and reflection.
This attention to detail is apparently going across the board.
The point is, when you are driving a formula one car, there is no boring season. Boring is a matter of personal opinion I guess. To me Ferrari and Mclaren 1 and 2 every year was getting boring.

I cannot understand why they shouldn't make because of the fact that you think 2009 is boring. It just doesn't matter how the real F1 season is like. Racing yourself on PS3 or whatever is pretty much fun, imo, doesn't matter how boring it is in real life, does it?
And I think the new game will be pretty good compared to Sony's F1 games. They're bad.
The Wii and PSP are for 2009, the PS3 and 360 are for 2010.
I wouldn't see the problems in having a game based on the previous season.
Think about the advantages, you can play it 'historically accurate', you could change the cars mid season to represent what happened in the season, etc..
Other attention to detail things they are doing are some of theese:
Dust Generation - Meaning that the track is up to 4 seconds a lap slower on the friday than it is on Quali day and race day. Racing Line - Meanign that you have to stick to a line to get the traction from the tyres. Marble Generation - To do with the racing line, but also you see little bits of rubber randomly fly off your tyres during a lap, after a certain point Full Rules - Engine Management and Saftey Car rules are the 2 tough ones, unlapping yourself under a saftey car and managing your engines thru a season will be crucial to your sucess from what ever grid posistion your started from. Race by Race Car Updates - Each car will be moddeled after the pace it has shown up with for the 2009 season, such as Brawns early pace, Red Bulls strong general early season but improving pace, McLaren and Ferarri resurgance KERS and Adjustable Aero - This will have to be managed on each car every lap Live Car Dynamics - If youre engineer is shouting give it all youve got, turn the revs up to 18000, if you have to eek out the fuel to make a lap at full pelt whilst the person in front is pitting, turn the revs down and conserve fuel. Add that to the Brake Balance changes you will do Slow Down Lap - After the race, "go to G-11, That Yellow Golf 11 Lewis, and pick up rubber" add up to 4kg of rubber marbles to your car to make it pass at parc-ferme Test & Reserve Duties - If you are a test driver, you will have to take your VJM/2 for straight line tests at Santa Pod. Also take new chassis for their 50km shake down arround Silverstone Club circuit. Team Classic Cars - Each team is going to have up to 5 classoc cars from their past you can race, ever wanted to see what a FW14B can do in a race against a F2007 or McLaren MP4/23, you can do it. Full Track Programme - All 17 tracks from the 2009 season, as well as well as Jerez and Portamao as well for Pre Season testing
Thats just some of the things ive heard is gonna be introduced in the game. I have heard that in the Career mode theres gonna be some sort of Karting progression to Formula BMW then to GP2 the to F1 thing included, but that may just be too much for a game.

Great, but how about multiplayer mode? If they don't offer that I won't bother with it.

Sounds like a nice thing here!
What about tyre model?

On the same console multi-player is doubtful as so few new games have it (on Xbox 360 anyway) and that sucks. Xbox Live style will be a certainty as will system link.
Probably similar style for the Playstation 3
"It could be done manually. It would take quite a while, but it could be done. There is however a much more efficient and accurate way of getting the data. Men with lasers." Wing Commander Andy Green
Split screen is ghetto and makes no fun for racing games.
The system has to split it's resources to get two under performing screens in the split, and graphics suffer.
Who here is on Xbox live? Who has a 360? Anyone play Forza2? PGR4?
It would fun to dominate some folks here on Xbox live
When this game comes out, who wants to race with me?
An f1tech league on xbox live (and or playstation network) would be somewhat AWESOME.
