Aston Martin AMR24 Speculation Thread

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Leaked image with GT3 Vantage launched today in background. I believe this to be an official

Image

Not sure if the car is official, but treating it as it is: nose no longer attached to main plane, letterbox sidepod inlets, more subtle waterslides, significantly increased undercut

Front view shows extreme letterbox like rb19

It does look to be a new car, at least to the level of detail allowed by the render. No doubt it still holds a few secrets hidden. Rear wing looks to be an early 2023 one

Front wing also an exceedingly basic design I think?

Looking at the sidepods it is highly likely to be the 2024 challenger. So they kept push-rod at the fronts and pull-rod at the rear - the same should apply to Merc as well.

It also looks like they've removed the wing mirrors, drag reduction?

Really nice spot. The rear suspension will be pushrod not pull by the way. So I am not 100% sure about the renders anymore

So at very least rear susp, FW and RW are placeholders. Maybe front suspension too but believe that will remain pushrod

The leaked pictures above actually were made of the 24 car.... a Video is out on YT since 5 minutes show exactly that car (render)

Yes but even the renders that are published as the real AMR24 by AMR themselves have key details that are from the old car. So we have to wait for real pics of car

What makes you so sure that they will switch to push-rod at the rears? Is it because of what Vowles said about the new Williams or is there another source?
