They still have the tightest engine cover of all the cars, while the sidepods are no wider. Moral victory :mrgreen: But in all seriousness it should not be underestimated, triangular airbox and excellent pressure recovery will keep them still at the top of top speed charts.

Also the bodywork just at the back of driver's head is very tight, I guess the Halo winglets are used to keep the flow attached there directly as slats. Hmmm, maybe the S duct is still helping with flow attachment in yaw, though now not only S duct but also Halo slats.

Removed the intake "viking horns" and the flappy bird wings behind the cockpit. I find it really strange that Ferrari is the only team doing intricate work and bringing novelties to this section.

People saying it looks conservative, remember when the F2004 was conservative looking…

They clearly had forward momentum by the later half of last season. If it’s better than that, it’s a good baseline. It’s been said before, but I think simply looking at the sidepods is a red herring.

Leclerc is terrible at acting, but extremely good at understanding car behaviour. His face after the first day of test will be enough to understand.

Nah they had this double mousehole last year too. Kyle.engineers covered it in his sf-23 launch video

It’s a pity the only team with a different approach has gone the same way than everyone, with the hot air cannon and the ramps on the sidepods. It’s clear that is the optimum for the rules we have.

Push rod on the front axle. Maybe is not as big advantage to make worth the risk from a mechanichal point of view

I hope they have fixed the high tyres consumption, a big problem of SF23 that ruined a lot of GP
