RB20 speculation

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Is that a midwing and overbite like the W14?

I think it's just an extreme underbite like the AMR24 and the inlet isn't hugely visible from the angles we have

Well sort of what I expected a lot less dramatic than hoped...

The AMR is a more exciting cat, but RB has been nailing the understated evolution in being devastatingly effective.

I have full confidence it's dominant again. Given ferrari (and probably mercedes) effectively try to compete with the RB20 in an RB18 clone
Who names their cat AMR and RB? And why is RB the cat so "devastatingly effective"? Did they not cut his claws or something?
typo for "car" I think...

I'm leaning towards an overbite inlet. Hope that person also took some still photos.. video compression is awful.
I think it confirms the change to the nose though.

I like my overbite theory a bit more?

There could not possibly be an inlet on the top surface. That lip is nearly flush with the top of the monocoque. :wtf:

There's no inlet on the top. Impossible.

Oh God!

The more I look at it the more I realize they’ve down Mercedes’s radiator inlet solution! There’s no inlet above…it’s below the “wing” like Mercedes last year 😳

The nose too is attached to the first element and the engine cover has the bulges like Mercedes 😂

Is that an upper lip rather than lower lip that we are looking for!

Ask yourselves why the engine cover has so much center line cooling and why the roll hoop inlet looks larger.... Dare I say RB are trying to make some sort of frankenstein Mercedes concept work.

How about both. A sort of SF71H style layout with small slits either side of the lip, above and below. We can't make out anything obvious on top, but equally there doesn't look to be anything below that is big enough to constitute an inlet. Unless they require so little cooling on the sidepod a tiny intake is enough.

Some Bigfoot footage of possible rb20 from today

I'm not seeing anything that would prevent this from being the rb19 though..

Note disconnected RW endplates. This was a feature of only the rb19's high df rear wing.

Rear view suggestive of waterslides to me. Also can't see a floor edge wing.

Well, this "Paul Bridgen" guy made a new Twitter account just for today (?) and deleted it.
Was he hired by RBR to send some blurry video's on the internet?

The outlet was there for a while on the RB19,it originally started out as the suspension opening and then somewhere along the line they disconnected it and had it blowing under the suspension arm
