To me it also looks like they've pushed the cockpit position way back compared to the W14, Hamilton must be happy

The digital renders are absolute garbage, as per modern F1 (not just Mercedes) tradition...
Whats wrong with the renders? if you right click and open them in a new tab you can zoom in, plenty of details
The sidepod intakes are definitely wider in reality, the undercut much smoother and more pronounced, sidepod sidewall less hefty and squared-off.

Very uncanny photo, feels like all the people have been edited in. Either the lighting there is wack or the people were cut/pasted from other pictures.

This is the most interesting front wing ive seen of all the 2024 cars, only thing that remotely similar is the 2023 alpine
Front wing reminds me of the 2023 Alfa Romeo

That is a pretty big undercut. Also I wouldn't call it a P-shaped inlet like Alpine. It looks like bottom lip is pushed forward but it gradually goes down. Interesting design

Maybe it's because the cockpit has been moved back but it looks short-ish.

At last a car that isn’t a Red Bull copy! Though launch spec looks a bit basic…

In all seriousness this is a totally new car! Nothing carried over it seems even though the side pods look exactly the same from side view, they’re totally different from front view!

Some notes from me:
1. Front wing looks interesting
2. Nose at last attaches to the second element (though Red Bull just went the other way and attached it to the first element like Mercedes last year)
3. No engine cover louvres no water slides too??
4. Radiator inlet…what in the world is this? Looks like Alpine’s solution!
5. Front suspension looks like a proper anti dive suspension now!
6. The undercut is enormous…

Nice retro livery btw =D>

The 4th flap does not appear to connect to the nose or the endplate.
If you look near the far off endplate it appears they are using it to generate a load of outwash.

it does not appear this way in the renders.

I feel the front wing is where interesting things are happening.

Inlet looks very small and rectangular but they've used the lower lip to generate outwash instead of purely downwash under the sidepods. So not quite the same of as the Alpine where they have a genuinely triangular inlet.

They've also got rid of the fairing around the front wishbone to body connection.

I see with a lot of these cars that the sidepods even with undercut have quite a large bulge, is that for aero reasons or just for radiator packaging
