Williams FW46

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

A bit weird cockpit sides shape, like an inverted V. Where the Stephens sponsor is.

Too bad the regs limit the lowest height of the louvers. Otherwise fully louvered gulley could make an interesting looking feature.

You are right, the sides definitely flare out towards the bottom.

Allrhough the design looks a bit vanilla, the detailing looks all well polished.

They seem to use the MB/FER frontwing outwashing spacer trick at the back of the floor edge wing

What happened to the wheel covers from last year? The ones with the blue arrows.

This year wheels /tires look unfinished.

Different flow compared to AMR and Ferrari; much more horizontal!

Williams one of the teams discussed by Scarbs here, FW vortex generator, V chassis and rear wing "endplates".

Those 4 holles that he is talking about are there only to fix those big aero rakes that are measuring airflow behind the front wheels to the chassis, and previous Williams cars had them as well. But, they could also be used later for some bodywork in that area but I don't think so.
