Wow these cars have found quite a lot of performance during the winter even though it’s the third year of the same rules!!

So the ceiling Allison was talking about isn’t so close after all…! And I would imagine Max can go even faster than Sainz right now!

As i said glory runs
What for? Sponsors? :)

I don’t think Ferrari needs that. It’s simply testing. They’ve used three new sets of C4s for those runs, every time with some setup tweaks in between.
The c4 tyres aren't in use at Bahrain GP and the tyres are unchanged compared to 2023, so it's not like you just need data on the tyre itself. Why run on it in that case other than to push exclusively for laptime hence glory runs. Anyway I'm just poking fun.

It's an impressive lap
Red Bull is gonna use them too at some point so what

Faster than what they did in qualy last year, all things considered not bad.

Not bad regardless, but fwiw Leclerc didn’t do a second run in qualy last year.

When you factor in that Sainz did the time on the C4 but on worse conditions that Q3 last year and on probably lower engine modes, it's actually very encouraging.

I’m sure they still can learn and collect valuable data for other tracks and conditions on these tyres. The cars behave differently on different tyres after all.

I remember, but still i think he got pretty close to maximizing the car in that one run.
Carlos ran twice(he needed to beat the others) and didn't beat it if my memory serves.

Since i don't expect the car to be fully empty right now, running full power and track will likely be better during Q3 next week(there's the other side that this compound won't be available) i think it's pretty good.

The one parameter that is going to change is the rubber on track. Compared to almost 13 to 14 hours or 20 cars having laid down the rubber, yesterday and today, the race weekend would have mostly 4 hours (2 hours on Friday and 2 hours on Saturday before Q3) of 20 cars laying down rubber. In a week's time, the track would change to green again.

It appears, both Mercedes and Ferrari on a race sim currently. So far, Mercedes seems to be quite faster than Ferrari in first stint with both cars shodding C3.

A lot more fuel on the Ferrari as Sainz keeps going.

On the upside, so far, the first stint was significantly faster than their race sim last year! =D>
