Thankfully I was right, the media are just calling the team RB.

Thankfully? RB until now always referred to Red Bull, especially in writing. Or RB<number> as the actual car model.
Even Toro Rosso would be better. Everyone would know which team it refers to, even if the official name is not this.
Or metallic bulls, silver bulls. :)

The media have always called RBR, RedBull, never RB. IMO, RB is much better than VCARB.

But if you shorten Red Bull, lots of people say RB, and the cars are called the RB19, RB20 etc. So it could get a little confusing to some people.

No one refers to Red Bull as "RB" in television or spoken language. The bigger issue is in the forum as Red Bull is commonly abbreviated as "RB".

Maybe I’m the only one, but I usually use RBR for the senior team.

On a positive note, the car is looking pretty solid so far - Danny Ric has been in the top 5 on both days.

Definitely looks settled with a predictable rear end.

Apparently Dan's long runs were very good

"Ricciardo's stint in the RB looked pretty handy; there was a particularly fast (comparatively) outlier at the start of this stint that made us think it wasn't a long run, but the 16-lap stint suggested otherwise. He was still in the 1m37s at the end of that and now, eight laps into his next run, has just logged a 1m36.048s."

Albon liked what he saw too with RB

"“They’ve made a step,” Albon said. “I think they’ve definitely… gathered some parts.

“They look very, very, very quick. So I think they’ve made a big step, which is just the way it is. But we’re there. We’re not far away, I don’t think.”"

Lol alls fair in love and war. Just because RB might get it right and say a team like Haas doesn't with Ferrari its fair play to RB. Theres still alot of stuff that can go wrong designing your own aero etc, its not that simple. So well done RB if the car is a big improvement! Lets hope so!

I like Mekies a lot

Asked about the car's performance at testing

"Are we excited about it? No."

 straight to the point but yeah he was just talking about how it's just testing etc

Mekies says the ambition at the start off the season is to get the fundamentals and basis correct. And to establish the right tools to be able to drive their development. Liked what I heard

Apparently both Tsunoda and Riccardo are trying to say that the car isn't much "better" than last year's car.
And we all know what they're playing at... The car is good :-$

Yes, there's a lot of "yeah it's OK" but not too excited talk. Who knows ...
