Saw a twitter post claiming Lewis hasn't talked to media and is only talking within the team? Can this be verified?
Someone who was there said he went straight to Merc hospitality and avoided media, which after an entire day of testing I don't blame him, pretty sure Russell did the same yesterday and only gave his interview to Merc about the w15
Ok thank you! :D

I feel quite optimistic today that at least Mercedes aren't really far behind the "2nd group" (Ferrari, McLaren, Aston and Perez), especially managing so many changes to their car.

Speed trap data shows they're right up there with the lead of this group. Source

Hamilton's fastest lap was over a bit off from Perez on the same time and roughly same time of day. Hamilton I believe made an error somewhere in the 2nd sector, probably at turn 10, as the comparison to Norris shows a loss of a few tenths in this sector. Source
If anyone has sector or mini-sector data for fastest laps, can you share a link?

This at least shows the best sector time was well below McLaren in sector 2, but I haven't found enough data yet to say if this is just a weak sector for Mercedes

I'd be very interested in seeing the evolution of the long run data today for Hamilton - that will give much better insights

Could the team be planning to bring a complete shocker update next week or in the upcoming races? Because if not, the season's already toast!

If Mercedes will not bring very significant update for race in Bahrain, it is already then clear that this season will be ultra dominant by Red Bull team.

Nothing has really changed. It’s a better, more predictable and consistent car, but it’s not quick enough to do any kind of damage at the front. Expecting another dismal season, with podiums here or there. Nothing more.

Either that or they're massively sandbagging.

I think it's more that they didn't want to give him a longer contract than to end of 2025. this meant he wouldn't have a guaranteed shot at 2026

Car still looks like it's missing rear downforce. They are running a rear wing with shallower AoA which gives them better DRS-less top speed though less of a boost when DRS is activated. It's hurting them in Sector 2 but they don't seem to make up much time down the straights.

Usual caveats around fuel loads, engine modes, etc.

No idea, but it better give the downforce of Monaco and the size of Monza for it to change the season 😂
