Looking at the fact that there is no deg it is highly likely that they could have lapped quite a bit faster though.
You have the engine modes & tops speeds for all these laps?
If this is the case, then I can’t say exactly how things are in racing mode, but on one fast lap in the first sector, Oscar at least lost 0.1-0.2 tenths of a second.
I was posting just because I don't understand the talk around the laptimes being up and down, they seem pretty well measured to me.
The amount of fuel in the tanks, the use of a DRS wing, or vice versa, constant driving with a closed wing. Even these two parameters could be enough to make a big difference in tempo.
They never use DRS on race sims. If used at all, it would have been 1 lap to overtake someone in the way but generally anything that looks like a race stint, is a race stint without DRS.LionsHeart wrote: ↑25 Feb 2024, 17:11The amount of fuel in the tanks, the use of a DRS wing, or vice versa, constant driving with a closed wing. F1-Tempo has all the speeds. The modes looks similar for those middle stints, wouldn't expect any major time differences due to that.the EDGE wrote: ↑25 Feb 2024, 16:54You have the engine modes & tops speeds for all these laps?
Sure, but one second is a big gap.Xyz22 wrote: ↑25 Feb 2024, 16:51Looking at the fact that there is no deg it is highly likely that they could have lapped quite a bit faster though.
I have nothing against it. In this case, the amount of fuel in the tanks is of great importance.AR3-GP wrote: ↑25 Feb 2024, 17:14They never use DRS on race sims. It is if the pace is genuine. It’s really not that hard to hide 1 sec of pace. We see it all the time.
Piastri and Norris said they are a good chunk off Ferrari and miles away from RB. They may have reserves, but I don't think that's going to put them at Ferrari or RB's pace.
