It might not have happened at work.
Highly irrelevant. If they're colleagues, and it doesn't rise to the level of a criminal case, then it's still considered a work issue. Doesn't matter if it happened in the office, at the Red Bull christmas party, at the local pub, by text and whether it was within work hours or in their private hours.

Either it's a criminal issue, or it's a Red Bull issue.
I'll refer to this post in a few weeks or months TFSA. :D
In that case, just to clear up any potential misunderstandings, I'm not saying a civil lawsuit isn't possible. But it's gonna be against Red Bull, not Horner, and it's gonna be about Red Bulls handling of the case (as in, their HR practices) or the investigation, and not about whether or not Horner is innocent.

It's perfectly possible for both Horner to be innocent, but for Red Bull to be guilty of mishandling the case at the same time. But that's not gonna cast shadow on Horner. And it's unlikely to be a big headache for Red Bull, as you claimed. At least that's my legal take. 🙂

If this was purely a technical forum a lot of threads wouldn't exist, for example the MEME thread!

To be fair the Suzie Wolff thread got locked.

This thread has served its purpose, We got the facts, a tonne of speculation, and now we have the RBR Austria resolution where they are happy of no wrong-doing.

There will always be the 'haters' who post up about a cover up story, they hired lawyers to prove their innocence etc.

Lets go racing instead.

Well, it is very technical. All the dick pics disappeared. How is this technically possible?

Or...how can a Thai that does not even legally own the team hire a lawyer that needs to be hired by the UK based company??? Also this seems technically impossible to me.

A] Every HR complaint laid out to the company (whether true or false) toward a C-manager has to be investigated by an independent law firm (UK law)
I don't see how that's relevant to the point i was making? 🤔 Just because a law firm has to investigate it, doesn't mean the complaint rises to the level of a lawsuit. Those are still two vastly distinct things. 😉

Al we know is Horner is deemed innocent. And let’s accept it and go forward.
Discussing where this case might go from here is still highly relevant if you ask me. 🙂 Whether you believe Horner is innocent or not, there's still the option for an appeal, and as Quantum suggested, an actual lawsuit.

Quantum suggested the lawsuit might be a big headache for Red Bull, and i responded with my take, which is that it might not be.
And that’s in reality the ground for a lot of complaints. To gain monetary profit by filing a complaint with a company that has a lot to loose and gamble for a private agreement between parties.

Unfortunately currently there’s only speculation and hearsay. Even here speculation of might be..

Not yet, we are waiting for a whole bunch of posters to remove their barely veiled slanderous/libellous posts….

What's allowed or not in a forum is totally up to the owners of the forum. Within the law in the country where the forum is.

Will De Telegraaf be sued now? Horner must have a very strong case against them now.

I think it needs to stay at least another day. If not all this will entirely spill over to the other forums.

I said this would happen all along. They reached a number the claimant was happy with, and the whole thing has gone away. Simples.
