It's been a good day, the long run pace looked promising but plenty to do this evening and tomorrow morning. We'll leave the commentary there, and come back 15 minutes before the start of FP3 tomorrow. That begins at 1530 local / 1330 CET / 1230 GMT – but stick with us this evening, the drivers will be along shortly with their views on Fri… Thursday in Bahrain.
And how many bad attitudes there have been on the forum.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024, 18:34From what I could see (I couldn't really be 100% focused on it), Piastri was doing similar numbers to Verstappen and he followed him on track (about 5 seconds behind). It didn't look like he was falling back that much. Lando seemed a tiny bit slower but he was behind Ocon for a while and then did an overtake. After that he gapped him.
Hopefully I am not jumping to conclusions but this looks like pace team thought they will have before testing.
Everyone else seemed a bit slower - either having more deg or just lapping at a slower pace. The gaps don't seem big but it was consistent. We will see what do analysis people say after tonight.
